Free Poker Tournaments: Crash and Burn and Crash and Lows Posted: Thu 7/20/2023 at 6:50 AM, in reply to guest guest

It doesn't matter whether I am at an online casino or playing in a free tournament, the ups and downs are all the same.

It was my experience in a $1,000 Winner Takes All tournament that I will always remember. After paying the $50 for the buy-in, I knew I would have a shot at winning. As soon as the game began, the excitement was intense.

There were some major "donkings" but soon everything calmed down, and the real game began. After the break, we had 8 players left at the table. As I held tight to my game plan, and had a good chip stack, it was easy for me. The patience I possess makes me prefer to play tournament poker over ring game play. Ring poker games are able to wipe out or even double your bankroll in no time. You can gain an advantage in poker tournaments if you are patient. It is important to play with patience, and only select premium hands. If you are playing for the money, it is possible to be blinded but still have a good chance of making the final.

We were down to just three in the final round of the tournament, and I found myself head-to-head with my competitor. The stacks of both players were pretty equal, though his had a slight edge over mine. On the big blind, I held pocket pair 3, and my opponent raised his blind slightly. It was only a small raise and I still called because it was less than a third. A 33A appeared on the flop. Saying my heart jumped would be to put it mildly. I had flopped fours. He pushed quickly all in and I put him into a boat of pocket Aces. Of course, I was thrilled and called right away. I was right, he indeed had Aces.

As the number 9 was revealed, my excitement caused me to start shaking. I was about to win my first Winner Take All live https://mybk-experience.onl/ tournament at a casino. The only time I was there in the casino before, when playing a Free Poker Tournament on-line, was in an online tournament. On the next hand, the Ace is revealed. It's not very often that I see quads beating quads in the many years I've played. I was very dejected but had to show respect for the card. Only disappointment was that I wasn't eligible for the badbeat jackpot of $3500. This was not a ring game, but a tourney. The jackpot is only available for ring games if the player has quad 9s.

In retrospect, I am not sure what I would have changed. It's possible that I could have folded if he had gone all in on the pre-flop. That's not the way it was played.

It is important to understand and keep in mind that poker is a game of chance, just like in the real world. It is possible to get even the smallest "outs". The loss was disappointing, but I graciously thanked my opponent for his success and shook their hands. The best poker hands are always respected, no matter how they were won.
