Semper Solaris is a veteran-owned residential solar power installation business with headquarters in California that aspires to a world powered entirely by renewable energy sources. Veterans in need are provided solar energy for free, and it collaborates with numerous charitable organizations like the warrior foundation freedom station.
About the scholarship:
Since 2019, Semper Solaris has held contests for students interested in alternative energy, awarding more than $10,000 in total prize money.
By entering the Semper Solaris Scholarship essay contest this year, more than $20,000 will be awarded to student winners, including the top prize for college students at $3000.
What do you need to do?
All you need to do is answer the following question with at least 1,000 words:
“How can solar and renewable energy help local communities?”
You will be judged by accessing if the writing is clear, articulate, logically organized, and without any grammatical errors.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a current freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student, or attending a military academy.
- Applicants must have a CGPA of at least 3.0 and be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university between May 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023.
- College Applicants must provide their enrollment (college transcript, class schedule, or a letter from your institution).
- The Document should be in a non-editable format (PDF, JPEG, PNG, or JPG)
- Applicants attending military academies are eligible for this scholarship.
Prize details:
There will be two winners. The winner will receive $3000, while the runner-up will receive $1750.
